Community Development Services (CDS)

Our community development services program is dedicated to offering a wide range of specially tailored services to people with disabilities and their families. CDS is a day service that offers services in groups of no more than four (4) individuals with comparable interests and objectives. Our compassionate team members encourage self-direction, self-advocacy, natural support, community integration, and choice in addition to fostering supportive and fruitful relationships with the people we assist.

 

Community Residential Services

This service is designed to provide caring and focused support to people with disabilities. We have implemented residential living support services to help adults with various types of disabilities live their best lives. Our Residents are supported by a caring team who are all dedicated to promoting self-determination, independence and a high quality of life.

Day Habilitation Services

NextGen provides a variety of individualized and structured activities to people with disabilities in settings outside their homes. Increased independence, fewer service needs, greater community involvement and progress towards obtaining gainful employment for participants are some of the objectives of this program. The program is based on person-centered plan.

 

Personal Supports

We specialize in providing a wide range of individually designed services to people with disabilities and their families in non-vocational activities that enable them to live independently in their homes and communities. These services can be provided in the participant's own home, in the home of a family member, in the community, or at an individual's integrated work site.

Respite Care Services

The respite care program aims to give primary caregivers a break from their role as caregivers by providing short-term relief for families in their homes and/or community settings to handle planned or emergency situations. This service is offered by NextGen in a range of locations (hourly/daily), including people's homes to communities, and at camp sites. Transportation, assistance with medical and personal care, recreation, and coordination with numerous local resources are all part of our services. Every support is specifically created for each person to meet their individual needs and preferences while also showcasing their distinct personality.

 

Transportation Services

Our transportation services make it easier for our clients to participate in community activities that suit their needs. By providing these services, we promote greater personal autonomy and lower levels of service dependence. We offer our services to people who reside in their personal or family residences. Mobility and travel training are among the services we offer. We assist the people we support in gaining independence and integrating into the community by teaching them how to use informal, general, and public transportation.

Nursing  Support Services

We offer nursing services with a focus on good health, best practices, and a high standard of living.

In accordance with COMAR 10.27.11, our nursing support services include nurse consultation, nurse case management, and nurse delegation.
